The plushies, candies, toys (and sex toys) are whatever, junk that he doesn't even bother collecting. The real prizes are when games hand out food and clothes vouchers -- a godsend, given how he keeps bleeding chips just trying to stay alive. Life as a rank 2 is hard, after all. Everything needs to come out of his wallet -- the cost of even basic food and drinks, amenities, replacement clothes for whenever his are ruined by some new round of nonsense destroying his room, so on and so forth -- and he needs to scrabble for every extra benefit he can scrounge up in this place, which is at least somewhat home turf for him.
So of course he lights up when he spots a sign declaring, 'Win 10,000 tickets for the GRAND PRIZE: 10 meal vouchers and 100 bonus chips!' Followed immediately by a loud groan when he reads the fine text below: 'Tickets must be won as a pair to be eligible.'
Poor Weiss, no doubt just minding her own business and maybe originally planning on just walking by, might spot the way that Fuuta's angrily pacing the area before the sign, a hand scuffing through his hair in clear frustration as he mutters expletives to himself under his breath. But the moment he raises his head and spots her, he immediately stomps over, calling out before she can avert her gaze or try to escape: ]
Hey! Hold up a second. [ He's looking her over as he approaches. And while she doesn't look like a gamer of any flavor -- maybe she'll be cooperative, at least. ] ... you got a little spare time? The arcade's doing this -- thing. Could be pretty useful, but it needs players in pairs, so.
