So, I figured I should get you to choose a journal first before you choose a pen. You can figure out a pen you like later, but sometimes, you can choose a pen first and then the notebook later.

[ There are some samples which are already open, so Weiss takes one that's similar to hers. The spine is sewn, with a faux leather soft cover, and it doesn't have any lines on the pages. Size is relatively small, but just big enough for day to day notes. ]

This is what I use. The paper is smooth but also has a little bit of texture, but not too much. [ She opens it up and holds it up to him, as if telling him to touch the page. ] For these kinds of papers, it's best to use a pencil or gel and sign pens. But there are smoother ones which have a little bit of gloss to them. Those are better for ballpoint pens.

I don't use a journal with lined pages since I sometimes draw things on it too, but maybe you might want to do that?
