[ It's not about benevolence...this was something personal for him. She was somebody that was personal for him. Being the one whose had to watch others extend their hand to him, especially when he was younger, there was a part of him that understood. That was uncertain and wanted to close others off because the best person to rely on was yourself. But it wasn't a weakness. It was how one got stronger. Taking his hand? Was just another step for her, he can hope. So by the time she reaches for his hand, relief washes over him around the same time she surprises him. Their arms loop together, his eyes widen once more but instead of asking or questioning it, it's her name that falls past his lips like a gentle breath. ]

Weiss...

[ It's something so simple as a hypothetical of how far they would go for their close ones in this place. But he's noticed by now. She really did go out of her way to try and make him happy, didn't she? She really didn't like seeing him upset. Or angry. She'd said to him before that he's endured enough to make him mad. That he didn't need that anymore. So when they take their time together, step by step, the destination was more of an afterthought for now. They had the Love Dove in mind, but that was another escalator ride away if he was remembering right.

He almost wants to gently pull her towards the closest bench to just, sit down. They don't even have to talk. But just to sit with her leaning on him like this. The rest of the world fades away in the moment— uncaring as to who could see them or overhear them. He knows he said before that he wasn't the sappy type...and he wasn't about to go waxing poetic or professing his unbridled feelings so outlandish out here. But with his hand idly swinging the bag of stationary goodies, it's also being occupied right now.

A minor complaint! ]

I'd have my hand over your arm right about now if I weren't carrying this.

[ It's not an invitation for her to carry it since she was already wrapped around his arm. But what he'd want to do anyway. ]
