[ just like the good boy he is, he shows up at lunatia square in a little less than an hour. it's better if he's the one waiting because who knows if that will just irritate weiss even more. not that he minds, because it's not like she really gets mad at him. he'd just rather not inconvenience her...

so he waits, close to a streetlight and out of people's way. it's really busy today but that's not surprising. ]

[ Ye Xiu being late isn't that much of a big deal because Weiss would be so relieved that he showed up in the first place... She definitely appreciates him being early though, and it's in fact, greeted with a smile as soon as she spots him. ]

[ listen to him... he isn't even going to allow weiss to comment on that because he's moving on to the next topic almost immediately. looking around, there's a pretty sizeable crowd surrounding them; not much a surprise considering it's the holidays and all. ]

[ She'll just casually loop her arm around his and then pull him towards one of the dessert stalls. The food's not that expensive or anything, but Weiss will intentionally be excessive today. :) (she'll at least tone it down if Ye Xiu is truly suffering...) ]

[ any other person probably would have been worried at what weiss just said, but not ye xiu. the dumbass just keeps smiling like nothing is wrong and he isn't the most broke individual out there. (okay, well, he isn't, but he's definitely not all that rich nor capable of spoiling weiss too much... he'll try though.) ]

[ it's not the most expensive one he chooses, but it's definitely one he thinks weiss would like. plus, it's his favourite so surely this will work out for everyone involved. ]

[ the look on his face just grows... fond, and it's an expression that has a hint of nostalgia to it. he patiently waits for weiss' verdict regarding the crepe he suggested, but then she asks for one more thing. ]

[ as far as he cares right now, she can have as many as she wants. he'll go ahead and purchase a singular milkshake with a heart-shaped straw. ]

It should go nicely with the crepe. [ truly, he's content to just spoil her right now. ]

What do you mean just one? [ ... how insulting! Do you think she's a pig or something, Ye Xiu? ] It's not Cordis right now.

[ Her mood immediately lightens when the milkshake gets served, though. It's cute, too. ]

[ listen, there's a reason why ye xiu isn't the best with relationships. his lack of self-awareness gets him in trouble more often than not... but thankfully, weiss seems to have let it go as soon as the milkshake is up. ]

The mini pancakes. And a milkshake for myself too.

[ the pancakes are stuffed with the lunatian version of nutella so it's amazing to eat it in one bite. as for his milkshake, he gets a strawberry one since that always pairs well. ]

Do you want to walk around? Or should we find a place to sit down?

[ there are nearby benches around, at least. ]

We should sit down, eat the food, and then go for a walk around the area with our drinks.

[ Somehow, she's devised a strategy on how to handle what they just bought. She only intends to sit down for a few minutes to finish the crepes, though. The event may be small, but it's so lively that Weiss wants to see every bit of it! ]

I think there's going to be a show on the stage, too. I want to see it.

[ Well, the show just so happens to be the moonlacing contest thing, but she doesn't know that yet. ]

[ honestly speaking, ye xiu appreciates that she's thought of a plan. it leaves him the responsibility of guiding her to the benches rather than being the one to decide... when he's around her, he's pretty much willing to go along with all of her whims. she'd only need to ask—

for now, he lets her settle down on the bench first before he follows after, nomming on his pancakes all the while. ]

As for the crepe, it's good so far! It's buttery and they didn't hold back on the fruits. ]
