Greetings. My name is Weiss Schnee. I'm a Huntress and a member of team RWBY. I hail from a world called Remnant, and I was once a citizen of the kingdom of Atlas.
I tend to wear my hair in different ways. Why don't you tell me which style you think suits me best?
To learn the ins and outs of this resort, mostly. And of course, get back to Remnant, where my friends are.
With regard to the games here? Let's just say I'd like to upgrade my suite.
For combat related talents, I am an exceptional fencer and my swordsmanship is beyond compare. My Semblance allows me to create Glyphs, as well, which make me capable of performing feats like making shields and platforms, time dilation, or summoning creatures that are under my command. I'm also very proud to say that I know a thing or two about making weaponry; I did, after all, design my own weapon.
Of course, I'm not just all work and no play. I'm a skilled artist, with a talent for dancing, playing the piano, songwriting, and singing. I've performed in front of my kingdom many, many times, and even my fellow students at Beacon loved my performances.
You should also see how 🥨flexible🥨 I can be.
I've read many books since I was a child, as reading is one of my favourite past times. The classics never get old, such as: The Boy Who Fell From the Sky, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Corpse Doctor, amongst others.
I tend not to watch movies, and I only do so when people invite me out. As such, I don't really have a favourite. Maybe you can invite me to watch a movie with you and change my mind? 👉👈
When it comes to my taste in music, I do enjoy operas and ballads, but I've also branched out and have been listening to pop and rock songs. There's just rap which I don't quite understand...
And lastly, for food, I am typically not a very picky eater. I like to eat light and healthy, so salads, quinoa, and granola are in my usual diet. I do love frozen yoghurt best, though! Especially blueberry flavoured frozen yoghurt. That would be my favourite. And crepes, of course!
I haven't had time to sit down and think of what kind of partner is ideal for me. Of course, somebody mature would be best, because I have no interest in childish things. Someone who will look out for me, give me attention and affection, and call me a good girl. 💙💙💙
Someone I can have an intellectual conversation with over either coffee or tea, or someone who can challenge me and push me to my limits would be best. I'd like to grow as a person as well, after all.

But now all that stuff is done with, and he's able to accept her invitation for tea and for a tour of her suite. He doesn't show up empty-handed; instead he's carrying a nicely-wrapped box, as well as a bag with two things in it—party hats and party poppers! This is a belated birthday celebration, after all, and an even-more-belated two-person housewarming party (hence the gift). You've got to have party poppers!
He thinks he's prepared for what he'll see in her suite. He knows from attending her birthday soirée that Queen suites are large enough to be considered resorts unto themselves. Plus she already told him what to expect over Mating Season that one time: an outdoor garden, a private elevator, a piano, snow...
Still. He's not a huge fan of hot or cold. And snow was one of those things that sounded more appealing at the time, back before he'd spent a good two weeks shivering from that emotional link.]
Brr...!
[He can't hug his arms around himself, since he's holding the box of sweets. All he can do is walk along the snow-covered path, his eyes on the building up ahead and his teeth lightly chattering.]
It sure is cold. You don't have a thermostat out here, do you?
no subject
I'll get you a blanket too, if you like.
[ Even without Aura, Weiss is pretty used to the cold, so long as she's not fully exposed to a blizzard or the tundras. Atlas is pretty cold, after all, being a city up in the sky, located in the tundras and all. At the very least, they'll be able to get to warmth soon.
And if they do end up having their little celebration in a nice little spot past her study, then she'll have to make sure that the garden won't be this cold. Maybe she can change the setting to "sunny but winter". ]
We're almost there, at least. Can you use your Aura to help you out in this case?
no subject
[Never mind where the indoor snow came from. He knows the answer. It's ~magic~!
The bad thing about Hiyori is that he's prone to complaining. The good thing is that he tends to bounce back quickly. He manages to throw her a smile despite the persistent chill, still moving forward with the box held in his hands.]
I'll see if I can manage with just my jacket. If not, I guess we'll build a blanket fort!
[The jacket he's wearing is a winter coat. He and Jun found a pair of them inside one of those treasure chests in the flower maze. Alongside an assortment of... other goods.
As for her Aura question:]
I'm not sure I've ever used it while walking before, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try.
[And then he goes quiet, trying to focus. As his words probably gave away, he's still getting the hang of activating it. He treats the process sort of like meditation and tends to do it sitting down in a quiet place. Perhaps he'd be better at it at home, where he generally had a clearer mind as a consequence of having less to worry about.
But he gives it a try, humming softly under his breath as he recalls the lullaby he used as inspiration the first time. If it works, great! And if it doesn't work, oh well. As she said, they're almost there anyway.]
no subject
[ Maybe there's a difference between how they grew up. Weiss knows that he's from a very rich family, but... did he ever build blanket forts with people before? She looks so surprised that Hiyori's even suggested that, because he must know how to make one, right? He's done it before? Wow... ]
You were allowed to make blanket forts back home?
[ If the answer is "yes", she might just be jealous...
So long as Hiyori thinks about using his Aura, then it would manifest itself. How long it can last and how well he can allot the Aura that he has is what he'd need to practice and train himself on. That is, if he'd like to keep using it, anyway. Weiss unlocked his Aura to help him and protect him, but it's ultimately up to him how he wishes to use and develop it.
By the time they make it into Weiss' suite, Hiyori will be greeted by a grand entrance hall, with big doors leading to two different wings of the suite, and two sets of stairs to go up to the upper floor. While it does look grand, it's not a castle by any means where there are 100 rooms. Weiss has kept it relatively straight forward in terms of the layout and what rooms she wanted in it. ]
So, welcome my suite! Let's put all the stuff upstairs first, and I can show you around if you like?
[ Ta-dah!! She does jazz hands when she welcomes Hiyori in. But right after that, she reaches for the panel by the entrance way to lower the thermostat outside. Change it to a light snowfall sort of day. At least the "inside" isn't so cold anymore! It's just right. ]

[He replies cheerfully.]
Sometimes I'd make one with Nagisa-kun. He's my childhood friend, but he stayed with my family for a bit when we were kids. Sometimes we'd read bedtime stories inside a fort, or else I'd read and he'd try following along. And we fell asleep like that, too, sometimes ♪
[His voice takes on a nostalgic tone as he talks about all this and his eyes go soft. These are cherished memories.
Still, he doesn't miss the implication behind her question. The fact she's so surprised means she wasn't allowed to make blanket forts. And didn't she write all those songs about breaking away from someone else's control?
It's not hard to guess at what sort of upbringing she had. But he'd rather not dwell on the past. He'd much rather focus on the future, which is why he makes his next offer!]
If you've never made one before, then perhaps we should! Unless you'd rather save it for a sleepover sometime. Or a romantic evening with someone. But if you do want to try it, just let me know~
[It's never too late to make up for the things you didn't get to do. Just like Hiyori's aforementioned childhood friend, who didn't get to do anything when he was really young, since he grew up confined to a single room. But it's always fun to introduce new experiences to people like that—people who were sheltered, people who had a harsh childhood, and people who've otherwise been deprived of life's simple joys.
They approach the main building soon enough though, and as he steps inside after Weiss, "deprived" is pretty much the last word that comes to mind. He spends a moment taking the place in; unsurprisingly, her "suite" is more like a manor. It's elegant and sleek and tasteful, and the floors seem to shine, suggesting the suite was recently cleaned (presumably by staff and not by its Queen). And the icy-looking glass chandelier hanging from the vaulted ceiling seems very her.]
Sounds good to me.
[His footsteps echo across ceramic as he walks, looking up at the second floor and the high ceiling.]
Your suite does seem fit for a queen. Specifically, an ice queen! ♪ You don't happen to have a throne somewhere, do you?

I always thought that blanketforts were for sleepovers. [ Or maybe she's just a huge stickler for the rules. Either way, ] I think I'd like to experience it in a sleepover, if that's okay with you. But it does sound fun, and I'd like to try it with you some time.
[ Especially if he's an expert at it! She'll be sure to rely on him to tell her what to do when it comes to procuring what they need and building the fort itself. ]
Oh, Ice Queen! Ha-ha.
[ There it is... yet another person calling her an "Ice Queen". Weiss doesn't sound too offended. More tired of the whole thing, even if she does like being treated like royalty and she does have a snowflake of an emblem. The jokes really write themselves. ]
You're surprisingly the first person to ask about that, though. No, I don't have a throne somewhere.
[ She walks on ahead, up one side of the grand round staircase, making sure Hiyori is following her. As fancy as the suite looks, there are no elevators inside, so he'll have to carry the things a little longer. Once they've landed on the upper floor, Weiss leads the way to one of the wings, the big doors opening by themselves as if they could sense someone was about to pass through.
For how big the entrance hall is, there aren't that many rooms, even if they're all huge on their own. In a way, Weiss has kept to her simplicity, not wanting her suite to be too big that there would be 50 rooms or something like how it is in the Schnee manor. ]
The other wing is where the bedrooms are, but this is the wing for leisure and entertainment. [ It's a rather straightforward hallway. Two sets of big doors are across one another in the middle of the path, while a large and shiny suit of armour decorates the end of the hallway. ] I really like the library, since there's a nice nook for reading outside.
[ And that's the door that opens on its own yet again! Weiss steps forward and then turns to face Hiyori, gesturing to her own archive of books that the House has supplied her. She still goes to the Swan Lake every now and then, but it is nice to have a place like this of her own! There's still a bit of walking they have to do, but Hiyori can set down what he's carrying on the tables if he likes, just in case he needs a break. ]

[Or whoever makes her happiest. They both have people here that they feel closer to than each other, he figures. And that, too, is alright. He knows all about how "love" and "family" can be difficult, but he's always thought that friendships, at least, should be straightforward. It's nice to have connections that are uncomplicated.
Her reaction to the nickname earns an arched eyebrow, though his smile remains in place.]
Heard that one before, huh?
[There's a sympathetic note to his voice that isn't entirely feigned, even if he also finds it amusing. He didn't mean to dredge up any memories of being teased by classmates in grade school or anything!
But anyway. He continues to follow her up into the suite. From floor to ceiling, it's all very nice and elegant, though it could use some warmer colors and some elevators if you asked him. (Thankfully no one did ask him.) In most respects, it couldn't be more different from the pirate queen's suite. But both are similar in terms of scale and grandeur. "Surrender your body to the House, and you'll be generously rewarded." That's the clear message being sent.
That thought makes him feel like he's covered in grime, though, so he'll try to push that aside.
At least the doors opening on their own provides a distraction from all that icky stuff. That makes both of his brows shoot way up.]
Are all the rooms enchanted?
[There are businesses in his world with automatic doors, of course. But they don't normally work like that. He peers inside those doors and down the hall, eyeing the silver suit of armor, curious about everything but trying not to be too nosy. Then finally she leads him to her little library, which looks nice, minus one small detail.]
I'd be worried my fingers would freeze off if I tried to read outside in those temperatures. I'm guessing you're built differently, though. And we can both use Aura!
[Once he comes upon the table inside the library, he does set down what he's carrying. The unopened box of sweets, the bag with the party poppers and party hats. Once that's done, he straightens up and puts both hands on his hips, facing his host with an expectant smile.]
So! ♪ Is this where we're having the party?

It's an old nickname back in school.
[ She doesn't sound too fond of it, but she loves her friends all the same. Even her big sister ended up being called "Ice Queen" by her peers. It must run in the family. ]
Oh, not enchanted! They're sensor activated. [ This time around? Weiss sounds pretty proud of what she's saying. ] The doors are big, so I figured that maybe there's a way for them to open on their own. I think it's convenient.
[ Even if it certainly looks like it's magic pushing and pulling those doors close and open! ]
And don't worry about that part. [ She has surrendered her body to the House, and has been so graciously rewarded. ] It's like Atlas. There's something about the balcony that makes the temperature seem... normal? Though if you did stick your hand out past the railing, then you'll feel the actual snow and wind.
[ Does that make sense? Hopefully! She's never had to explain how Atlas can provide the Atlesians with livable weather, given how humans live in it and it's a city literally thousands of feet off the ground... but they do have the right technology to produce and control the weather. The balcony's become something like that, which is nice! And it's also why it's her favourite sport. ]
Yup. We'll just go out to the balcony.
[ She doesn't point with her hands, but she goes gesture to her subject with her palm. ]
See that wall over there with the shelves? From the entrance, it looks like the library is just a big square, but if you walk closer, you'll see that there's a pathway. I just thought it would be nice to have a sort of "hidden" place here.

[That's all he'll say to that before letting the embarrassing nickname matter drop. Now back to the suite tour!]

It seems there's no end to the technological marvels inside her suite, as she proceeds to describe another one while they're in the library: a climate-controlled balcony! That gets his brows to arch; he knows all about heated floors and other conveniences, of course, but a fully climate-controlled outdoor balcony is still impressive.]
Even at ES, we don't have that sort of convenience. I'll have to tell Eichi-kun he's fallen behind the times.
[That'll be a funny conversation. If he ever makes it back to ES, that is.
There's one final revelation in store, and it's the most charming of them all: a secret passageway hidden behind a library wall! And right, it's definitely handy. While the House recognises me as the suite's owner, some other people have access to it. If they're not around and I'm carrying a lot of things, then I don't need to put the stuff down just to get anywhere around here.
[ She says that as if she lifts a lot of things, but the situation that this would mostly apply to is if she shopped too much and has so many bags that she can't open the door...
Onwards to their secret party! Weiss starts walking past Hiyori to lead the way when he mentions her non-existent sweet tooth. She's quick to turn around, cheeks puffed because. . . ]
I don't have a- oh, you know what? Nevermind. It's just you, anyway.
[ By which she means she gives up. He can continue thinking she has a sweet tooth and she won't put up too much of a fight about it! "Just you" just shows that she's comfortable around him! It's a compliment, if anything.
Further down the library they go, and Weiss stops in front of a shelf that looks like it's a dead end! There's actually a path way in between the shelves though. No doors, no nothing— just an illusion that there are still books in between, when the books that someone looking straight at it would see are the ones from the end of the secret path. Right next to it is a glass door that leads to Weiss' secret little hiding spot.
It's snowing out, with little snowdrops very slowly falling down. It's not cold though- it's just right!
And now that they're at their party spot, Hiyori will find a rectangle looking thing wrapped in navy blue wrapping paper with a blue ribbon on a chair. On top of it is another smaller square, in the same wrapping paper and ribbon. It contains her presents for him: a tea set and a necklace. On the table are some snacks for their party. Tea in a pot that should still be warm since she just let it steep when Hiyori arrived, as well as some mini sandwiches, scones, and macarons.
Weiss may not be good at expressing herself through words, always finding being honest about how she feels to be embarrassing, but she really does appreciate her friendship with Hiyori. She wants him to feel remembered on his birthday, even if it's weeks delayed. ]
I'm sorry it took so long to give you your birthday present.

[This surprises and interests him.]
I'm surprised they allow that. It seems like that would go against the whole hierarchy they've arranged. But that does sound convenient.
[He's thinking of himself and Jun. They already share a suite, but it'd be extra convenient if Jun could unlock the door with his own watch. What incentive does the House have to allow that, though, when everyone is supposed to be treated according to their rank? When the goal isn't to build community or find someone to settle down with, but to play the field and compete through sex?
That's just his own thinking, though. And he might be starting to realize that his thinking is a bit too narrow. Perhaps he doesn't understand the House's motives, or their goals for them, as well as he thought. In any case, he can definitely sympathize with her woes about too many shopping bags...
He smiles when she cops to the whole sweet tooth thing. And then he shares:]
