My paycheck depends on how many people are in the class.
[ A beat, then she adds ] Plus, she's got such ridiculous drama. You haven't lived until you've seen someone storm out of a room screaming about her hairstylist ruining her entire life because she found one strand of gray on her yoga mat or storming in in the middle of a fight with her boyfriend who she thought that he was cheating on her with her best friend, but it was really his secret twin that he didn't even know about.
I think she seeks it out, though. Like, you saw her today. She always tries to pull that "I'm just being helpful" bullying when she's trying to corner people and she thinks I'm not paying attention. I'm not sure if she thrives on drama or just has it coming.
[ So long as Emerald keeps her actual classroom the 'safe space' from that, she's pretty sure most people are feeling better about themselves because at least they're not that much of a mess. ]
They start a half hour after ours ends, and Barry sucks so I'm not worried about his class.
[ Barry: judgy vegan bunny man who believes meat is murder and anyone who eats it is a murderer and that being loud and proud (obnoxiously refusing to accept criticism) is part of a healthy lifestyle. Emerald's work nemesis.
Even so, Emerald goes to gather her stuff finally-- namely the projector and her own yoga mat and her device, which she was running the projection on. She turns airplane mode (or whatever the equivalent is) off so she can get messages and stuff again. ]

From what you've told me? It's probably a mix of both.
[ There's not really much she can say anymore, though. She mostly just approached Emerald for a polite "hi" and a little bit of small talk. ]
Is there another class that's going to be using the room? We might be holding up some people outside.

[ ... Does she want to know? Is this another guy with so much drama going on? God, she hopes not.
But with Emerald packing up, she goes to do the same. ]
