I'm not really sure what a Grimm is, but demons are bound by extremely powerful to their summoners through the contract. In which case, if we did make one, you'd technically be my summoner, even though you haven't summoned me from the demon realm.
Grimm are, I suppose you could say, monsters. They're soulless creatures whose only instinct is to destroy.
[ She turns to face him, crossing her legs once more. A Glyph appears next to him on the floor, a white one that glows a light blue. Kazuya might even feel and smell it— her Aura.
From the Glyph surfaces a suit of armour that gets as tall as the door. She can make it bigger, sure, but there's no point. It kneels before Weiss once it's been summoned, the sound of metal and steel clanking present when it moves. ]
This isn't how all Grimm look; there are various types. And they certainly don't look like this when you actually face a living one. They're usually black, with a mask on and everything.
[ Considering how her soul practically radiates from this creature, it's not as "soulless" anymore as she describes Grimm to be. ]
I'm able to summon Grimm that I've defeated in the past. And in Remnant, it's only people from my family who are capable of doing so.
[Yeah, he can both feel it and smell it. So much so that he leans back a little physically as the creature is summoned. It sort of... Reminds him of a demon, how she describes it. At least the lesser ones.
He'll close the distance between him and the kneeling creature, and... Put his hand on it, testing, feeling it out.]
The Grimm sound an awful lot like demons. At least low ranking ones. Maybe not colour-wise, but the whole instinct to destroy sort of thing.
[And it sounds, sort of, like she can use something like a compendium to store them. How strange.]
That's a pretty neat ability, honestly. And I assume incredibly helpful where you're from.
[And in return, Kazuya will snap his fingers, calling forth a large creature of his own, which appears in a small burst of lightning and black smoke.
Unlike the armour, it's clear that this creature is very much alive, and very hungry, if the way it eyes both Weiss and her suit of armour is any indication. However, all it does is lower it's head in clear deference to Kazuya, voice a low, ominous growl as it speaks.]
[ Weiss is more alert now, even standing up, almost prepared to fight if she has to. She just said earlier that she's not afraid of him, but that's not him, is it? She doesn't have a weapon or anything, so all she has to defend her is her Arma Gigas.
It's unsettling. It's creepy. The hairs on her arms have stood already, but she's giving a piece of her trust to Kazuya here to make sure that this demon won't harm her.
The Grimm that's under her command does stand though. It positions its sword downward as if to call attention—hey, you try something, and I won't have it. The tip of its large blade hitting the carpeted floor with a loud and heavy thud.
She does not say anything, waiting for Kazuya to be the one to say something first to try and get rid of the tension in the room. ]
[And as if on cue, the demon turns to Weiss, and lowers it's head as well in a bow, compliant to Kazuya's whims. Though hungry and dangerous it may look, its King's orders are absolute.]
No demon, at least the one's where I'm from, would dare act without my command. Especially since I'm the one who summoned it to begin with.
[He'll even give a hard pat to the demons side, as if to prove a point. It doesn't move. Doesn't even react to his touch.
However, it is a demon, and Kazuya understands that it can very much still be unsettling to be face with a very non-human one.]
I can send it away, if you're uncomfortable with it being here. I don't mind.
[ There's no need to send it away, unless he wants to. It does not mean she is going to let her guard down though, because her Arma Gigas stays armed and ready despite Kazuya's assurance.
Weiss does give it a look, though. Nothing quite threatening, but almost as if to say that it better not try anything even it's under Kazuya's command. For a moment as she speaks, she's still looking at the demon, wary. ]
How many demons do you have under your command, exactly?
[He's not sure whether she says that to put on a brave face, or if she actually means it, because he can still smell that bit of fear in the room from it's initial appearance.]
It's a bit cramped in here, with such a big demon.
[Is his decision, and while it's true, he really, truly doesn't want to put her even further on edge. With a snap of his fingers, the demon vanishes into that same swirling cloud of darkness, leaving not even a trace of it behind.]
An exact number is kind of hard to say... But there's definitely hundreds of thousands of them. Maybe even millions? The demon realm is way more vast than earth is, so it's hard to say. Even when I rallied them all, there was no way for me to keep count.
[ Weiss doesn't relax completely with the demon gone, but she does do a flourish of her wrist as if waving her Arma Gigas away. It disappears not as instantly as the demon, rather, it dissolves from top to bottom, flecks of light glimmering before completely evaporating into the ether. ]
I see.
[ That honestly would be useful, she thinks. If he has that many demons at his disposal and all... She really will think about it, because she does want all this fighting in Remnant to be over, as well. ]
[As the Arma Gigas disappears, so too does the almost overwhelming scent of her Aura with it, though there's still a faint bit of it that lingers.]
Not all of them. There's about 20 or so different types of Demons, 21 if you count "Bel" demons, but I'm the only one of those around. And even within those categories, there's still probably around 9 different types of them.
They can't. Like, they're physically unable to. My word is law, when it comes to demons. The only thing that has more sway on demons than I do is a contract.
You know, when people get to know each other, they usually start with... "Oh, when is your birthday? What's your favourite colour? Do you like to listen to music?"
That kind of stuff.
[ She's salty over nothing at this point. Just let her rant? ]
... You know, so much has happened in my life in such short order, it's hard to remember normal people stuff.
[ Please understand, Weiss. He's been through A Lot. ]
Uh, lets see. My birthday is August 31st, my favourite colour is blue, and honestly if I had my way I would have shown up here with my headphones and MP3 player.
[tbf Weiss' bullshit spans her entire life. Kazuya's spans literally two months. His was incredibly condensed and sudden!!!]
Yeah? Why? It's not like I have weapons or anything. I mean, I guess maybe my COMP, but I don't see how that'd be of any use here, since I doubt it'd be able to send any outbound emails, and I can already summon demons without it.

[At least, he's pretty sure how that works.]

Right. And is there a guarantee that these demons won't disobey you?

... [ She heaves out a sigh. ] I feel a little awkward not having it now.

[Not that he isn't technically a weapon himself, but.]
Then again, with all the different people who are wildcards here, who knows what might happen. Maybe you'll get it back somehow?
no subject
[ She highly doubts this is just a place for relaxation. It's a casino. Sooo many dangerous things happen in casinos. ]
Maybe. I mean, it could already be here and I just don't know. That's why I want to look around.
no subject
They aren't.]Is it something you used often back home? If it's here, maybe I can find it?
